Sgraffito Trinket Dish Workshop. Thursday, June 25 4:30-6 PM

$65.00

Join us for a sgraffito workshop and create three small trinket dishes. These can be used to rest a spoon, hold a used tea bag, or keep your rings, trinkets or doodads safe. You will be provided with three slab molded trinket dishes, dried to the perfect consistency for sgraffito. First you have the option to add handles and feet. Next you can choose from a variety of colored slips to paint your dishes. You can paint them one color, many colors, or mix colors. Last, you will use tools to carve away areas of the colored slip to reveal the color of the clay in a truly delightful and satisfying process of sgraffito. Templates and patterns will be provided for those who need them, but feel free to create freely and make your pieces truly unique. No experience is necessary, the act of creating is a healing experience so come on over and make something with me.

Your pieces will be slowly dried, bisque fired, and professionally finished with clear glaze for a functional piece you can be proud of. Your trinket dishes will be available for pick up 2-4 weeks after the workshop. I will contact you when they are ready. Shipping can be arranged for a fee.

After you have signed up, I will email you with the address of my home studio located in Minneapolis, 1 minute off I-94 in the Lind-Bohanon neighborhood. Workshops are limited to 4 people age 12+. Minors must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Weather permitting, we will be working outdoors on my patio in the shade. Please dress for the weather. Indoor space is available if the weather does not permit outdoor art making.

*There is a $10 materials fee for this workshop. Please add the materials fee to your cart before checking out.
